March 26 – October 4, 2015.
CA2M Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo Madrid | curated by David G. Torres.

This major touring exhibition echos the important presence of Punk as an attitude. Noise, refusal, violence, destruction, alienation, anarchy, nihilism and sexuality are explored and accompanied by references to bands, texts, music, and iconic works.

What “PUNK. Its Traces in Contemporary Art” proposes is not just another dull exhibition in which a movement is dissected and castrated. It’s no death certificate, basically because what is talked about here is an attitude. The show breathes autonomously, devoid of pieces that repeat clichés. Ángel Calvo Ulloa

As in the graphic designs of Jamie Reid or the collages by COUM Transmissions, the dolls of Natascha Stellmach display sexual attributes and political symbols which are juxtaposed on their supposed innocence.  Curator David G. Torres
